Back by popular demand, you liked it last year and the year before, this year will be even better! The Empire Alpaca Association and The New England Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association have joined together once again to present a new and exciting SHOWTACULAR.   The two shows will run concurrently, in the same venue, same weekend to continue making alpaca show history.  This show format will offer all the same top quality aspects of showing your alpacas with a significant savings to all exhibitors.  This is an opportunity to show at TWO shows in one weekend.  You will need to register your alpacas individually for each show, on each show registration site.  You only need to purchase pens once, (on the Empire Alpaca registration site).  You save money on pens, hotels, meals, farm sitters, and travel by having two shows in one.   Many exciting sponsorship opportunities will be available to support both shows.  We will have: Two sets of judges, a single fleece show, a Walking Fleece Show, a Meet and Greet dinner, a Friday night sit-down Dinner and Auction, hospitality lunch for show sponsors and volunteers, a lunch time seminar and a Showbook worthy of being left out on the table for referencing.  

EAA and NEAOBA are looking forward to hosting a Level IV (or better) Halter Show and a Level III (or better) Fleece Show.

Back again, by popular demand will be a Walking Fleece Show.

This show will be judged using the 60/40 comparative judging basis.   Classes will include, Full Fleece, Bred and Owned, Championship and Judges' Choice (if minimums met).

Group Classes will be, Get of Sire, Produce of Dam, and Breeders Best Group of Three

The all new EAA & NEAOBA Showtacular will once again combine the traditional high-quality halter show, an expanded
Fleece Show, and educational opportunities.

Check-in will be on Thursday, November 8th, for all participates in the halter show, fleece show and vendors.

The Empire halter show will run Saturday, and Sunday. The NEAOBA halter show will run Friday and Saturday.  There will be four rings going and 2 sets of judges.  

The Fleece Show will run Friday and Saturday. Ribbon winners will be announced on Saturday evening. All fleeces will be on display on Sunday.

Halter - A traditional halter show with challenging competition.  (60/40)


Education - Seminars for owners, breeders, and the general public. 

Fiber - The Showtacular Fiber Event, will include a full-fledged fleece show  and Fiber Arts contest.

Thursday Night Meet and Greet Empire and NEAOBA will host an on site dinner get together for all in attendance.

Friday Night Dinner and Auction -Come join us for a relaxing sit-down dinner, cash bar and great camaraderie with your fellow exhibitors, vendors, friends and family.   Brett Kayson from Silver Penn Sales will lead the auction fun and humor, as he offers up many great opportunities to purchase top notch breedings from some of the top herdsires in the country, along with many other unique and interesting items.  Special acknowledgements during dinner for our generous Show Sponsors.    The Showtacular Dinner venue will be at the Embassy Suites, which is our host hotel.

The Showtacular Marketplace - A great opportunity to showcase and sell your homemade items, as well as raw fleece, rovings and yarns at the show.  All items offered through from the Marketplace must be made from a minimumm of 50% natural fiber from your farm or handmade for your farm.  No commercial goods allowed.



Youth events all weekend!

Friday from 10:00 to 3:00 kids are invited to stop by the fiber area to try their hand at various fiber arts. They can learn to knit on a knitting loom, try needle felting, knitting or crocheting, learn to use a lucet, or make a lead rope using a taravia.
On Saturday in the Youth area we will play Alpaca-opoly and practice fiber arts from 10:00 to 12:00. at 1:00 we will have a Husbandry competition in the Youth stalling area. Participants will be asked to demonstrate safe catching and haltering, explain halter fit, show the bite, lift a foot, identify injection sites for both IM and SQ shots, and part the fleece and comment on the fleece characteristics they observe. The husbandry competition will be followed by an Alpaca Trivia contest.
On Sunday we will hold a Youth Fun Show starting at 9:30. Events will include obstacle classes, Egg and Spoon, Musical Pads, Relay Races, and other fun competitions.


Saturday Evening Fleece Show Oral Reasons. - At the close of the halter class rings on Saturday, at approximately 5:00, we will be presented with the top banner/ribbon winners.  Please join us to learn the results of the hard work in the fleece room, and of the year long TLC to harvest these beautiful blankets by our participating fleece show farms.  Let's applaud there efforts.


On Sunday, fleece show entries will be available for viewing between 10:00 and Noon.  After 12:00, fleeces may be picked up.  Thank you to all who participated in the Fleece Show.
