| The Empire Alpaca Association is proud to announce its
Fourth Annual Photo Contest. This years contest is
generously sponsored by Photography by Herrmann. We have
made some exciting changes to the contest; cash prizes for
the top three winners in each category, a new category for
youth photo entries, and expansion of the contest to all EAA Members AND Non-EAA Members. Join the fun and get those cameras to work.
Judges: Doug and Donna Herrmann, Photography by
Herrmann, LLC
Categories:
One entry per category per farm
- Color
- Black & White
- Alpacas Interacting (alpacas with people, animals,
or objects)
- Humor
- Computer Enhanced (any photo that has been altered
in any way, be as creative as you wish)
- Youth (Under 18) NEW!!
Rules:
- Format must be at least 4”X6” and no larger than 8
½” X 11”.
- Photos may be matted, but not necessary.
- Each category is required to contain at least one
alpaca.
- Photos must not have been previously published
elsewhere.
- Photos must be in original format (no computer
doctoring) except those entered in Computer Enhancement.
- Photos will be judged for creativity, composition,
and artistic merit.
- One entry per category per farm is permitted.

On a label on the back of each photo
- Category
- Farm Name
- Photographer’s Name
- Address
- Phone Number
- Caption
Prizes:
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place will be awarded a RIBBON in
each category.
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place will be awarded a CASH PRIZE
in each category (compliments of the Herrmanns).
- Honorable Mention’ will be made in each category.
- Judges Choice’ will be chosen from all entries.
Additional Information:
- Please submit working prints only, as photos will
not be returned (you are welcome to pick up your photo
at the end of the show).
- Prize Ribbons and photos will be displayed at the
Extravaganza. Winners will be announced at the show.
- Judge’s decision is final.
Deadline for Photo Contest Entries will
be October 11th, 2008
