Bill and Elizabeth Johnson welcome you to explore Abenaki Acres Farm! Named for part of our family heritage that traces back to the Abenaki Indians, Abenaki Acres sits perched atop a hill overlooking the rolling countryside of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Guarded by two Labradors, two bouncy Chihuahuas, a Jack Russell Terrier and two llamas, our herd of about seventy-six huacaya alpacas complement this beautiful landscape with their serene presence.
A state-of-the-art barn is the hub of our operation and was custom designed by Bill in order to be breezy and cool during the summer and cozy through the winter. Our pastures dip down into the valley below providing loads of "altiplano" behavior enrichment for romping cria and young-at-heart adults alike. Abenaki Acres is committed to maintaining a herd that is not only the picture of health and breeding standards - but a herd that is calm, well-trained and moves with ease through veterinary procedures, transporting or show ring demands. Come visit the farm and get a kiss from one of our beautiful animals!
